Actions to improve housing and the living environment with and for women in precarious situations in Central America and the Caribbean (Action Pour l'Habitat)

Objectives

The overall aim of this project is to combat poverty by improving the housing and living conditions of families in precarious situations in rural areas of El Salvador and Haiti that have been severely affected by poverty, natural disasters and, more recently, the COVID pandemic. It pays particular attention to gender discrimination, and aims to build the capacity of local partners, improve the skills of construction workers, train local residents, consolidate a network of experts and promote the exchange of best practice. The partners propose to act at three levels: local, national and international.
