Objectives
Phase 1 of the “Decent housing for all” project was born in response to the precarious housing and environmental conditions in Antananarivo's low-income neighborhoods. Its aim was to provide a partial response to the challenges of urban development and maintaining social cohesion in the heart of the Malagasy capital's slums.
Phase 2 of this project, meanwhile, aims to promote and experiment with social housing models created by and for groups of vulnerable residents in Antananarivo's precarious neighborhoods.
Specific objectives :
- Encourage various forms of citizen mobilization by carrying out grouped urban development operations (production of social housing and requalification of common spaces) with and for residents of Antananarivo's precarious neighborhoods, and by spreading innovative construction techniques.
- Advocate for a social housing and development model at the heart of precarious neighborhoods, through regular meetings with public authorities and the production of data on solutions developed with residents.
- Guarantee an inclusive intervention strategy and good governance of the project by strengthening the skills of the project's stakeholders (including the inhabitants of the targeted neighborhoods).
