Objective
The project aims to reduce the housing insecurity of vulnerable families and improve their living conditions in the long term.
The project is structured around 3 areas of action:
Area 1: Improving housing conditions for the most vulnerable households
Area 2: Support for urban planning to reduce precarious neighbourhoods
Area 3: Monitoring, evaluation, capitalisation, communication and advocacy for housing and sustainable cities.
The aim is to strengthen participatory urban governance at the various territorial levels and with the various stakeholders in the city's development (residents, young people, economic players, local authorities, technical services, etc.) in order to improve the housing conditions of the most vulnerable households, strengthen climate risk forecasting and management, support initiatives to improve living conditions and promote environmentally-friendly architecture that is adapted to the socio-economic context and has a positive impact on local economies and job creation. The towns concerned are Kaedi and Selibabi.
