Objectives
Supported by the commune of Guipry-Messac, and implemented by the architectural firm LINEAIRE A, the construction of the new cinema-cultural space was launched in 2024 in the heart of Guipry-Messac.
The project includes :
- 2 cinema projection rooms with 185 seats for a 15m screen and 114 seats for an 11m screen;
- A modular, fun Micro-folie space giving everyone access to digital culture through school workshops, video game sessions, Digital Museum exhibitions, virtual reality, etc.
- A large open hall will house the reception and ticket office, as well as a cafeteria.
This project is resolutely committed to environmental impact, both during the construction phase (use of local, healthy, low-carbon materials such as raw earth and straw) and during the operating phase (reduced energy consumption, rainwater recovery).
The cinema is a timber-framed building with 40 linear metres of raw earth walls (bauge) on the facade and in the lobby. CRAterre provided assistance to Linéaire A Architecture and OTE in the design phase.
