Objectives
The site of the former Dreux sanatorium covers almost 40 hectares and represents a huge area of land. After decades of unsuccessful attempts and abandonment, the rehabilitation of this site has been officially launched with ‘Project R’. The project, worth over €100 million, involves transforming the sanatorium into a complex comprising 228 luxury homes, a luxury hotel and a cultural centre, with the aim of revitalising the town.
As part of the hotel component of the refurbishment, the engineering firm VP & Green Engineering has commissioned CRAterre to assist with the design studies for the rammed earth structures.
