This webinar will provide a space for exchange between academic and humanitarian actors, combining experience-sharing presentations, innovative initiatives, and interactive discussion sessions.

The objectives of the webinar are to:

  • highlight opportunities and gaps in academic training related to humanitarian shelter;
  • showcase existing collaborations between universities, NGOs, and the private sector;
  • co-develop a roadmap to sustainably strengthen local capacities and applied Francophone research.

The discussions will be structured around two main sessions:

  • Curricula and training: overview of Francophone training programs, architecture competitions, final-year dissertations, student experiences, and educational collaborations;
  • Action research, innovation, and sustainable solutions: research agendas, field projects, innovations linked to local building cultures, and pathways toward sustainable solutions.

The session will conclude with an interactive discussion to explore areas for improvement and build shared priorities.
