Palencia is hosting a new edition of the Terra Ibérica Meeting, an event dedicated to contemporary earthen architecture, restoration, sustainability and innovation in the construction sector.

Social housing built from earth and its development by public authorities, the contemporary use of earth in public facilities and heritage, and the contribution of green building to humanitarian crises and climate emergencies are, amongst others, some of the themes that will take centre stage at the ninth edition of the Terra Ibérica Meeting, which will bring together renowned specialists from Spain and Chile in Palencia on 23 and 24 October. Organised by the Palencia branch of the Official Association of Architects of León and the Palencia Provincial Council, this event will feature lectures and a round-table discussion, as well as a tour showcasing some of the most representative examples of traditional and contemporary architecture in the Tierra de Campos region, not to mention the presentation of the book ‘España en Tierra. Arquitecturas contemporáneas’ and a visit to the exhibition of the same name.
