Key moments in the history of the association
C’est le 6 février 1979 que Patrice DOAT, Alain HAYS, Hugo HOUBEN, Silvia MATUK et François VITOUX fondent l’association CRAterre, acronyme pour « Centre de Recherche et d’Application Terre », appellation qui a évolué à la fin des années 1980 en « Centre international de la construction en terre ». En 1986, la pertinence des recherches et actions avait conduit à l’habilitation d’un laboratoire de recherche éponyme à l’Ecole d’Architecture de Grenoble (CRAterre-EAG). Au-delà de ces deux dates majeures, plusieurs faits ou projets importants ont marqué et continuent de faire évoluer le parcours de CRAterre.
